"China Agricultural Outlook Report (2026–2035)" to Be Released Soon

In accordance with the key tasks outlined in the 2026 Central No. 1 Document, "Strengthening the Monitoring, Early Warning, and Information Release of Agricultural Product Markets," and to fully leverage the role of information in guiding production, stabilizing expectations, and supporting decision-making, the "China Agricultural Outlook Report (2026–2035)" is scheduled for release on April 20.

The "China Agricultural Outlook Report" is organized by the Agricultural Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, guided by the Market Early Warning Expert Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and prepared by the Market Analysis and Early Warning Team of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Based on long-term research, the expert group considers changes in domestic and international economic conditions, population, exchange rates, and other factors, while integrating China's macroeconomic environment, agricultural policies, climate conditions, technological innovation, resource endowments, and international market dynamics. Utilizing the China Agricultural Monitoring and Early-warning System (CAMES), the report provides baseline projections for the supply and demand trends of China's agricultural markets over the next decade. These projections are combined with expert consultations and analysis, with detailed forecasts conducted for individual product categories. Since its inception in 2014, the report has been released annually for 12 consecutive years, becoming a key publication for monitoring, early warning, and information dissemination in China's agricultural product markets.

The upcoming "China Agricultural Outlook Report (2026–2035)" focuses on 20 categories of agricultural products, including grains, rice, wheat, corn, soybeans, edible vegetable oils, cotton, sugar crops, vegetables, potatoes, fruits, meat, pork, poultry, beef, mutton, eggs, dairy, aquatic products, and feed. It reviews the market conditions during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and in 2025, while offering projections for production, consumption, trade trends, and price movements over the next decade, particularly for key time points such as the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, 2026, 2030, and 2035. The report serves as a reference for relevant departments, experts, scholars, and stakeholders across the industry chain.
